Label Text: SKINNER CATALOGUE: A Fiji Island war club of hard dark brown wood. 28" handle, curved and forked at the head end, the inside of the curve roughly and finely roughened for decoration, the upper branch curving to a finial point. The handle terminates in a knob and is covered with a fancifully woven rattan sheath, of buff warp and dark brown filling. The club is commonly carried over the shoulder and wielded with both hands. Diam. handle: 1 13/16". Cat. 6/14/1938.
